Opened the Flavio Salles Tap Center at a space in a shopping center. The center was associated witht he Dalal Achcar Ballet Company.

March 1992
Founded "Tap Academy" a Rio de Janeiro a dancing school specializing in teaching the art of tap dancing. The school held a workshop in 1999, 2000, and 2001 that was attended by well-known tap dancers and tap instructors such as Baakari Wilder, Gene Medler, Jimmy Slyde, Max Pollak, Sam Weber, and Van Porter.

2003:
Co-authored the Portuguese language tap dancing book "Tap: A Arte do Sapateado" with Amalia Machado.

2003-2006
Taught tap dancing at the "Tap in Rio" tap dancing festival in Rio de Janeiro.

Finished first in the "advanced tap dancing" category at Brazil's famous Joinville Dance Festival.

2003-2010
Taught tap dancing workshops at the "Tap in Rio" tap dancing festival in Rio de Janeiro in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2010.

2012
Tap dance master Flavio Sallas died on International Tap Dancing Day (May 25th) in 2012. The work at his Rio de Janeiro School was continued by teachers Christiane Tachlitsky, Patricia Carillo, Ana Corina Amahajas.
