Phil Black Studio
Phil Black opened his own New York City dance studio in 1968. The "Phil Black Studio" was located on the corner of Braodway and 50th Street. Actors, actresses, and dancers who at the studio included Ben Vereen, Charlotte d’Amboise, Chita Rivera, Cynthia Onrubia, Danielle Brisbois, Eddie Mecca, Goldie Hawn, Greg Burge, Irene Cara, Jennifer Lopez, John Travolta, Marlo Thomas and Teri Garr.

Phil Black died in 2015 at the Actor's Fund Nursing Home in Englewood, Jersey in 2015 after fighting Parkinson's disease for more then 20 years.
