6th Tapology Honorees Luncheon
HONOREE: Dianne "Lady Di" Walker

DESCRIPTION: The luncheon highlighted more than 50 years of talent, inspiration and the legacy of Dianne Walker, An internationally sought after personality for dance workshops, performances and appearances. Walker has also worked and studied with many historical and contemporary tap greats including Peg Leg Bates, Jimmy Slyde, Leon Collins and Savion Glover. Walker has won numerous awards, performed at the Smithsonian Institution, taught classes at universities around the world, holds a Masters Degree in Education and sits on a variety of boards for the advancement of art in the community, including an appointment to the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
