Tap Dancers on the "World of Dance" TV Show

Information abut tap dancers accepted to compete on the first season of the NBC dance competition television show, "World of Dance". A new NBC dance competition television show produced by Jennifer Lopez - "World of Dance" - will begin its first season the night of Monday, May 8, 2017 in the United States. Two individual tap dancers and two tap dancing ensembles have been accepted to compete on the show.

Alaman Diadhiou of Los Angeles will compete as a tap dancer in the junior divison, which includes dancers age 17 and younger.

Kyle Van Newkirk of Nebraska - a 2015 tap dance world champion - will compete in the upper division, which includes individuals and small groups (2 to 4 dancers) age 18 and older.

The Nitty Grittyz Dance Crew of Los Angeles will compete as a small tap dancing group age 18 and older in the competition's upper division. Does anybody know the names of the members of this group? (if you do, please Contact Us). For more information about the crew see their Instagram Page.

The Rhythmatic Tap Company of New York will compete as a large tap dancing group in the competition's team division, which includes groups of 5 or more dancers age 18 and older.
